It was a beautiful day in Calgary yesterday with warm, sunny skies.  The perfect start to GPS 2016!  We set up the Davies Molding booth #2123 in the Corral exhibit hall at Stampede Park and were ready to go.  

It's summer!  Technically, it's still spring, but with the recent warmer temperatures in Chicagoland, summer is in the air!  That means that it's time for Davies Molding to have a summer intern work with us.  We're excited to have an engineering intern this summer.  We would like for you to meet Connor.

Warning, warning! Hurricane knobs have been spotted at Davies Molding in Carol Stream, IL!

Davies Molding was happy to host The Heico Companies' top legal partners as part of its annual Year in Review.  The participants visited our facility in Carol Stream, IL, to see firsthand, how Davies makes such a wide range of knobs, handles, cases and custom plastic components.  Everyone had the opportunity to visit each of our departments: tool room, shipping, compression molding, injection molding and finishing.  They were given an overview of each department's capabilities and able to see our manufacturing process in action. The participants also had a chance to ask us questions.

In 2015, Davies Molding participated with our parent company, The Heico Companies, LLC., in Tour de Cure.  Heico brought together a team of 20 riders that raised almost $20,000 in support of the American Diabetes Association.

Davies Molding has been molding plastic components for over 80 years. We specialize in loading inserts (threaded fasteners) directly into components as plastic solidifies around the mounting. This process, insert molding, maximizes torque strength for demanding requirements. 

Day 2 (sadly the last day) of the Prime Advantage Spring Conference proved to be just as successful as Day 1.  We had additional one-on-one meetings with the members.  This is always a part that we enjoy- learning about business needs of the customers and how Davies can help.

Spring is in the air and that means that it's time, once again, for the Prime Advantage Spring Conference.  The conference is taking place at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, FL.

What does RoHS compliant mean?

Yesterday, we had the honor of having US Representative Peter Roskam (IL-06) speak to all of our employees.  He is truly interested in helping US businesses maintain their strength in the world economy.  As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, he specifically talked about revising the US Tax Code to be more relevant to changing economic times.  He also talked of his recent trip to China and the troubles they are facing.
