Yesterday, we had the honor of having US Representative Peter Roskam (IL-06) speak to all of our employees.  He is truly interested in helping US businesses maintain their strength in the world economy.  As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, he specifically talked about revising the US Tax Code to be more relevant to changing economic times.  He also talked of his recent trip to China and the troubles they are facing.

The Davies Molding engineering team utilizes mold flow analysis software to create tooling for new custom molding projects.  Mold flow analysis simulates the flow of plastic into the mold cavity during the injection molding process.  It provides a qualitative analysis of the quality of the part that will be produced.

"I'll Tumble For Ya" was a popular song, in the early 80's by The Culture Club.  I'm sure you've heard it before.  You might even be humming that catchy tune to yourself as you read this.  Did you know that Davies Molding will tumble for you???  Not quite the same way as described in The Culture Club's song!  Here at Davies, we do shot blasting, where parts tumble in our Wheelabrator machine.

Recently, we've had you meet some of our very dedicated employees that have impressive tenures with us.  Well, we have another one for you!  We would like to introduce you to Sue.  She has been at Davies Molding for 25 years!

We would like you to meet another Davies employee that has worked here for a long time.  This person doesn't quite have 47 years, like Barb, but still has an impressive tenor here.  Janice has been with Davies Molding for 31 years. She likes to say she started when child labor was acceptable!

Have you wondered who has been with Davies Molding the longest?  We would to introduce you to that employee.  Barb has been with Davies Molding longer than any other employee working here.  Do you want to take a guess at how long she has been with the company?  No, 20 years isn't correct.  Sorry, 30 years isn't correct either.  If you guessed 47 you win! 

I'm sure when you hear, "It's Tool Time, " it immediately brings back memories of Tim, The Toolman, Taylor and his trusty sidekick, Al, working with their Binford tools.  That's not the same scene you will see if you visit the Davies Molding tool room.  We have a four man tool room here that utilizes conventional lathes, mills and grinders.

Well, we have another great Davies Molding team member for you to meet!  We would like to introduce you to Edgar.  He's our IT Coordinator here at Davies (the real brains behind the operation).

The month of February is well-known for Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day and of course, Presidents' Day.  There are so many Presidents' Day sales out there because everyone is always looking to save a few Washingtons and Lincolns on their purchases.
