I'm sure when you hear, "It's Tool Time, " it immediately brings back memories of Tim, The Toolman, Taylor and his trusty sidekick, Al, working with their Binford tools. That's not the same scene you will see if you visit the Davies Molding tool room. We have a four man tool room here that utilizes conventional lathes, mills and grinders.
It's a wonderful thing that we have such a capable tool room in-house, because we are able to get many tool related jobs completed in our facility without sending them out. We can design, fabricate, maintain and repair molds, fixtures, tools, etc. quickly, so we can better service our customers.
The Davies Molding tool room handles the repairs and also maintains the tooling we use for molding. They are able to modify or adjust tooling accordingly, to make sure we don't have any dimensional discrepancies. In addition to that work, they design and fabricate fixtures for secondary operations, make gauges and fixtures to support quality and work with outside shops on projects that we aren't able to do in house.
