What does RoHS compliant mean?

According to the RoHS guide website, www.rohsguide.com, RoHS is an acronym for Restriction of Hazardous Substances.  RoHS restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products.  The dangerous substances that RoHS regulations help eliminate include: Lead, Cadium, Mercury, Hexavalent chronium, Polybrominated biphenyls and POlybrominated diphenyl ehters.

Why is it important to Davies Molding to be RoHS compliant?

We manufacture a lot of knobs and components that are used in electrical and electronic products.  We want to make sure we're doing our part to eliminate dangerous substances that cause risks for the environment along with health dangers.
