Plastics News published a story in the May 4, 2015 edition about the molding and secondary equipment that we have added here at Davies Molding. You can view that article at www.plasticsnews.com. Below is a recap of the new equipment we have added and what we are doing.
2015 has been a year that we have definitely lived by the New Year's saying, "out with the old and in with the new." In this case, the old is our equipment that has lived past its useful life and the new are the brand new machines we have purchased to replace that equipment. We have invested over $1.5 million in new equipment this year with plans to continue to make additions. We have made this investment to increase capacity in order for us to pursue more custom molding opportunities and increase throughput.
Machines Added:
1- Epilog Laser Engraver
3- Brother High Speed 14 Spindle CNC Machines with Fixtures
1- Multiplas 270 Ton Rotary Vertical Injection Machine
3- Toshiba Horizontal Electric Injection Machines
In addition to the new equipment, we are looking to add additional people to help with the increased projects we have from the new markets we are entering. Currently, we have 118 employees that work in our 99,000 square foot facility.
2015 has been an exciting year for us for far and we aren't even halfway through the year. We are very excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
