The Dogs Days of Summer- Heat Safety

It’s the summer months and while we enjoy the warmer weather and the abundant sunshine, we need to be aware of the heat and it’s effects.

We recently held a heat safety awareness event at Davies.  We handed out fact cards from OSHA that talked about protecting workers from heat stress. The fact card listed symptoms of heat stress and heat stroke.  It also included prevention methods and what to do if someone is ill due to the heat.  We went over this information as a group and at the conclusion we handed out Gatorade.

This was an educational event (perfect to discuss in the hot summer months) and was also fun for the group.  We value safety at Davies!
